Question : Does anyone know the standard dimensions of a yard sign?
I am looking for the standard dimensions of a yard sign, such as a “For Sale By Owner” or Realtor sign. I think it’s 18 X 24 for some reason but maybe I am way off. Thanks!

Contact the realtor to have them send out the sign-company to remove them. (Or remove them yourself and let the realtor pass on the word to the sign-company as to where on your property to pick them up).

Either way works.

can a zoning official legally enter into your yard or house make an inspection ,with you not there?

Question : can a zoning official legally enter into your yard or house make an inspection ,with you not there?
I say yes.,My friend, who is an obsessive compulsive collector of junk says only if he is notified and is present. He wants to sue. I say just spend the money on clean up instead of a lawyer. My friend has 5 acres of junk of every kind. his land is zoned farm, It abuts residential land with well kept homes. The local zoning reg says the official has the “authority”.My friend says yes but the owner (him) must have been present.his town is small rual town in hartford county connecticut. The building inspector is also the zoning enforcement official.

Yard sale… front yard or back yard?

9

Question : Yard sale… front yard or back yard?
I apologize for reposting this question, but I got no responses yesterday and I really would appreciate some opinions.

I have had several successful garage sales at my vacation home, which has a garage and a large yard. But now I’d like to have a sale at my permanent home, in the city. I have a very small front yard and my garage is off of an alley.

Here are my options for this sale:

*Front yard. People who are driving by will be able to see my stuff and parking will be easy, but my yard is tiny so there isn’t a lot of space for merchandice.

*Back yard- There will be plenty of space for my stuff and people won’t feel crowded. There is plenty of parking on the street. Plus, I have one of those semi-permanent gazebos so there will be a shaded area. But people won’t be able to see the sale from the road.

*Garage- I have a 2 and a half car garage, but it’s off of an alley, so there’s no parking available. People would have to park half a block away and walk down the alley… I don’t think they will do that.

So, given the three choices which would you suggest and why.

Can a Realtor leave a For Sale sign in a yard after a house is in contract?

7

Question : Can a Realtor leave a For Sale sign in a yard after a house is in contract?
We signed a contract in early April and are supposed to close within the next week. The Realtor has not yet changed the status of the yard sign. My husband seems to think there is a law against leaving the For Sale sign up, but I can’t find anything about it online. Thanks!

Laws vary by community. In most you can leave the sign up until closing….as legally the house has not sold until the final papers are signed.

Hi
You will need to contact your insurance agent as the law may vary in different states.

In Idaho…it is very specific…it stops at the property line. Yes even if my tree falls on my neighbors house. I am responsible for my property up to the line. His insurance will cover his house and up to his property line.
Sorry to get wordy.
