This home was purchased in the late 40′s or early 50′s and at that time it was a corner home. When Willis divorced Flora Baker-Lester who sold the home and moved to concord and is now deceased. The original price was between $ 9,500 and $ 10,500. I am the widow of Willis Baker we were married in 1971 and he passed away in 2003.
I would be interested in knowing what the home sold for because he did not get any of the money from the sale. Thank you Martha C. Baker

Willis had no legal right to any funds from the sale of his former home by his x-wife Flora.
They were divorced at the time of the sale,and I assume since Flora was in the home after the divorce that she was awarded the propety as hers solely ,which was very commom at the time.
If however ,the property was to be sold as A condition of the divorce and the funds were to be divided, you may need to petition the estate of Flora in an attempt to collect on behalf of your deceased husband (that is if you were willed to recieve his entire estate)
Your best course of action would be to consult a lawyer.
You can also find the price ,date,etc of that sale in the public records in the county where the property is located

Check with your local Farmers Insurance Group…..you do not have to be a farmer to get great rates.

It’s not that bad, but we’ve been Atlanta for about 6 months. Between getting settled in, remodeling the house and the usual activities of raising a family, we’ve not gone out for adult fun in a while. Can some please suggest some fun activities/areas in the Atlanta metro area that might be of interest?
We’re in our 40′s and enjoy a variety of things. So an area with shops, restaurants and overall lots going on would be great!!

There’s a place in Buckhead that has an outside deck & sells great chicken wings – can’t remember the name of it. Might be the Wing Factory or Mo Joe’s .

i doubt any of the big bulls like wells fargo or bank of america are going to help you, you may want to take a look at the small lenders who actually help and try to apply brain in their business as well.

Question : My wife has been getting phone calls from Universities,Home warranty Co. & wheelchair distributors?
The calls are about every 5 minutes, all day long, from 8am-8pm for the past 3 days and they all say she specifically requested their information.
She has had this number for 10 years and never had to deal with this…..
We thought it was a vendor we recently dealt with, but they assure us that they comply with their privacy policy.
Anyone have an idea of how this happened? Do you think it is a prank of some sort?
Any way to make it stop?
We tell these people to put us on their no call list, but there must be literally hundreds of companies calling now.
Yes, she is on the ‘Do not call’ list, but a couple of them have said that my wife has specifically requested information from them, so it does not apply in this situation.
Most of them seem nice enough, it’s just downright annoying.

I don’t believe that you can do that without refinancing the loan. Call your mortgage lender to ask what can be done.

Question : My Wife and I are considering moving to Canada along with our 3 year old son. How hard will it be to get work?
My wife and I are well educated and want to become productive members of Canadian society and raise our son there. We are not interested and just moching off of their healthcare system, in fact we are all very healthy.
Currently my wife is a Real Estate agent and I doubt that will be possible to continue up there, but she does have a bachelors degree in Communications. I have a Masters in Sports and Facility Management, have worked in pro-sports, am a series 7 licensed stock broker that has spent 4 years in banking and I have a NASM personal training certification.
My question is, how hard will it be to get a work visa? How hard will it be to move the family? which career or job paths would be easiest to acquire? and what should my first steps be?
Right now we have 1-2 years before we will be ready to make the jump and I want to learn all I can.

if you do come to canada, may i suggest alberta. tons of work, real estate market is booming and we are the richest province in canada. lots of colleges and univercities, great health care and the best beef in the world. welcome
