In the 1950s and 60s I remember the Chicago White Sox heard regularly on the radio with my grandfather. He had an old cabinet-style tube radio in the living room, and also has a small transistor that he would use when you are sitting in the front yard. Listening to the White Sox is not particularly unique, except that I lived in Greenville, South Carolina at the time.
