Looking for thoughts on Pacific NW Road Trip Itinerary?
0Question : Looking for thoughts on Pacific NW Road Trip Itinerary?
Hi – I am in the initial planning stages for a Pacific NW road trip that I am planning on taking for my 40th B-Day in Sept. I am looking for advice/thoughts on the following itinerary:
1. Flying into Portland, OR (or another city in Oregon – open to suggestions) Most likely staying 1 day here.
2. Renting car in Portland and driving up to Seattle, WA where I would like to spend 2 days min.
3. Driving from Seattle to Montana (thru Idaho – anything worthwhile to stay a night here or to see?). Would like to stay a day or two in Montana (possibly horseback riding) Looking for suggestions here on where in Montana to stay for 2 days.
4. From Montana down to Wyoming – maybe 1 day here. Again, looking for suggestions on a city/town to stay.
5. From Wyoming down to Colorado – possibly 2-3 days here. There are a few places that I already have planned to visit here.
6. From Colorado over to Salt Lake City, UT. Maybe 2 days here before flying home.
I have 2.5 weeks to play with here so I think timewise that this is feasible. Definitely would love feedback from others that have visited these states or live there. I appreciate any help/advice! Thank you ![]()

You might want to add a day in Portland area to enjoy the Columbia River Gorge and the waterfalls – and take in the Rose Garden. A drive over to the coast and Cannon Beach – or Seaside (I highly recommend the Gilbert House B&B in Seaside) and go up the coast to cut into the highway to go to Seattle.
Mortgage Brokers – your thoughts on live lead transfer marketing?
0Question : Mortgage Brokers – your thoughts on live lead transfer marketing?
My company is considering a marketing campaign in Calif. involving live phone transfers. It is expensive to participate, so I am trying to determine what value others have seen in this marketing. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

I have used this in the past. From both management and loan officer prospectives, it is awesome! Management is not wasting money on leads that get cherry picked or never called….Loan Officers have that “few and far between” opportunity RIGHT NOW, not 2-3 days from now. With the market being as it is, anyone in mortgage would LOVE the opportunity to get a warm/hot call.
I relocated and had to leave the company that had this. I loved it so much that I hired my own telemarketer, purchased lead lists, she sat in the next office, and conducted my own live transfers. My penetration went up well above 90%.
Good Luck!!

8Question : Thoughts on the 2010 Toronto Blue Jays?
Soon the Toronto Blue Jays could be the eleventh team in baseball to be officially taken out of 2010 playoff contention (their AL East “elimination number” is 8, their AL Wildcard is 11). The Blue Jays currently have a winning record of 72-68 (.514).

The Blue Jays finished last season with a losing record, but had winning records for 2006, 2007 and 2008.

RETIREMENT:
This will be the last year for World Series winning manager Cito Gaston with the Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays have lost 11 of 15 games against the Boston Red Sox

I guess I would sum up their season by just saying that hitting a gazillion home runs doesn’t help you win ball games when there is nobody on base.

Three thoughts on renting office space
0Many businesses are not in their offices buy these days, because the money is so tight. Although real estate is at its lowest level for several years, this does not mean that companies want to block their money for free in a building. Now by the choice of renting office space instead, you will be able to work, that the money be better used and still in a position on a suitable building.
There are some simple considerations that you should do if you can determine what is the right choice for office rental space you need, and they all start with someone who knows the market work, known properties and is able to negotiate on your behalf. There are several online companies that do it for you and they are a great place to start.
To ensure that you understand what is included in the rental of office space and what is not. All leases are the same – some contain utilities, while others can not. One of your most important considerations, parking spaces and that is not always included in a lease, so be careful.
In addition, you should keep in mind that the office space that you can not lease to move fit for your employees. You may have to buy sheet music, house walls, or set up offices where there are none.
Finally, do not believe that you are getting the best deal when buying a long-term space in an empty building. Many times a short-term lease in an office “executive” proves to be cheaper than a lot. You do not have to pay for something – just to the right to enter and you can move with much less notice. It is ideal for companies with rapid growth or have no money to invest immediately.

HOMEOWNERS… I need your opinion. What is your thoughts on a roof maintenance program?
6Question : HOMEOWNERS… I need your opinion. What is your thoughts on a roof maintenance program?
Hi! My husband and I own a small roofing company and we’ve had a number of customers have inquired if we have roof maintenance program. We’ve never really considered it but I got to thinking about it and I would like more feedback from homeowners on the matter to see if it’s worth our time.
Most homeowners know that you really need to keep your roof clean as much as possible to extend the life of your roof. For example, the longer you let leaves sit, the more water will sit under the leaves and the more chance you have to developing rotten wood and leaks.
We were considering offering a Maintenance Program where we would visit a home quarterly (more or less depending on the roof) and clean up the roof and gutters as well as a thorough inspection plan. We would check the life of the shingles/metal, pipe boots, wood rot, etc each time.
It would kinda be like a pest control service.. we’d do the service and leave a bill on the door. Our thoughts were around $ 50 each visit or $ 120-ish for the year if they prepay.
Please give me your thoughts.

I think that most people would not buy into it. At least out west where we live they wouldn’t.
Most roofs out here will last 50 years or more without ever being touched.
