I live in D.C., but I’m looking to move to Atlanta, so I’m in job search mode. I know many employers poo poo out of state candidates, so I need to find a way to secure an out of state address to put on my resume.
The lady at the post office told me that I can’t set up an out of state PO Box until I move down there, so that’s not an option. I don’t know anyone down there so using someone else’s address isn’t an option and. Mailboxes etc. didn’t work either. I’ve done a google search and can’t find anything.
Does anyone know a way around this? What worked for you?

I was going to suggest MailStores etc. but if you can’t do it without being there personally, then I would suggest to drive down on a Sunday, take care of establishing a PO or mail box at a store including all the forwarding to your present address on Monday morning, pick up all of the local Sunday papers, and head back home on Monday afternoon.
