Neil Strauss was until 2005 at best for his journalism and ghost-writing known. After written acclaimed features for ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine on seminal artists like Eric Clapton and Nirvana, he had to ghost-write autobiographies for Marilyn Manson and Mötley Crüe, both of which were very successful path, the latter much to help the band to revive her career in the new millennium and is currently being adapted for the big screen.

He did some research online and found that there is a secret society of men, as a Pick-Up Artists, or PUA’s to keep the Average Frustrated Chumps regular workshops or AFC’s, as it help to make women aware.
Strauss have one of these workshops, held by a PUA Mystery calls himself, and so began a two year thrill-ride, which ultimately in Strauss’ “The game would be chronicled: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists”. Less a how-to book and more like one of the autobiographies he helped ghost-write, transforming it tells the story of Strauss’ Ascension in the seduction community, from Neil Strauss, LA living writers, in the Pick-Up Artist Style. Integrating the various techniques handed down from Mystery and other authorities like Ross Jeffries, Style eventually became the No. 1 pick-up artist in the world.
Some of the techniques, such as the NLP used by Jeffries seems a little questionable, and some a bit stupid, but it made reading an exciting book that at the head of the New York Times bestseller list sent in September 2005, again in September 2007 . The book closed on a high note, with Strauss decision, the seduction community after finding true love in Lisa Leveridge, guitarist Courtney Love’s band The Chelsea left.
At the end of 2005, Strauss passed on his own set of techniques called “Annihilation Method”, to 5 selected followers over the course of a three-day seminar at his California home. He recently sold a limited number of copies of a DVD, which was only a credit card from his website and taught the “Annihilation Method ‘, while the end of 2007, thanks to the huge demand for an actual how-to book; Strauss continuation of the spring” Game “, entitled” Rules of the Game ‘.
Ultimately, whether you think a lot of Strauss’ PUA advice works or not, or whether you believe that the stories are true in the novels contained or not, it makes for interesting reading, and if nothing else, the next time are you in a bar will know why a man a complete stranger whether she saw the two girls fighting outside, or if they read a rune you want.
