0Question : My question is, I have been sending out mail to drum up work with my business.?
OK here it goes Normally for every hundred letters I mail out United States Post office , I will get from 1 to 4 new customers, now every week I was sending out 800 mail outs and, the day homeowners get them I get a phone call from them.
this is how italways works.
now 2 weeks ago I did a mail out to one area 400 then next day 400 to another area in that same town.
thing is I had 0 response from them mail outs
this never happens not when I mail out that many
Question is How would I find out if they went to these homeowners.
oh my mailing list is good, I double check each address over the internet
I also Have caller I.D. and checked all the calls I had over the past two weeks even the hang ups none are from them two areas.
I always get responses normally a day after the mail out always within a week this is over two weeks now.
all other areas I mailed out to responded either by phone or mail
I am adding this the area I did the mail out to I checked it out real good it is a good area just like the other areas that i hit a few miles from it.
the average age is between 35 and 65 etc. I checked the areas I mail out to real good I drive in them and check out everything about them over the internet before picking were I am doing mail outs.
I been doing this for a few years now and I know my areas, think some how my mail did not reach its destination for one reason or another?

random mailouts are not always a guarentee of a result regardless of how many letters you post.
it could very well be the demographics of your last few mailouts were on target for your business and the lack of reponse could show that the demos from those areas are not interested in your product or service or that there is another competitor already servicing that area.
Good marketing is more than just posting a letter, it requires an analysis of the demographic that will be most receptive to your product and then targeting them in such away as to gain interest from them.
all random letters will draw is a lucky dip of responses.
Looks like your luck just ran out here, i would suggest that you sit down and really analyse your business perhaps with someone who doesn’t have an emotional attachment, consider your demographic and form a strategy on how you will gain their attention.
you may also save yourself heaps of money as well in wasted mailouts.

it depends on if your family works and if they have / dont have life insurance. Mortgage Protection protects you if become unemployed and/or die (have to read the terms because some only offer one while others are more protective). So read the fine print and check with your family’s financial plan to see if this would cover or is duplicate of what you already have. They are not necessary usually but contact the lender direct (not the numbers on the mail you are getting because they are most likely the ones trying to sell you this) to see if it is mandatory. You will find out its not.

The “Packing 411″ Gives Holiday Shoppers the Upper Hand on Sending Gifts
0When it comes to handling gifts, Santa has the advantage over everyone, but with a little preparation and know-how, consumers still have some tricks up their own sleeves. It may not include a flying sleigh or eight reindeer, but there’s no need to panic when it comes to shipping and receiving holiday packages.
“We’ve seen some wild packages come through the door over the years,” said Audrey Jones, The UPS Store franchisee. “All that work to find the perfect gift can be wasted if the package isn’t properly prepared for shipping. ”
To ensure packages are delivered in perfect condition, she suggests using a new box specifically designed for shipping, instead of moving boxes. The old boxes in the basement left over from the last move or catalog order are not the best choices. Also, choose packing materials that provide bubble cushioning. Old clothes and newspapers don’t offer the right amount of protection for that “perfect gift. ” For perishable foods, place foods in an airtight container or plastic bag before placing them in a gift box. Fill gapes in the container with squares of bubble cushioning to soften the vibration.
Before closing the box, place an extra mailing label inside, just in case the outside label is damaged. Seal the outside of the box with clear, professional-grade packaging tape. Duct tape, making tape and cellophane tape, as well as packages wrapped in paper or tied with string are no-no’s. The proper shipping supplies are available at local shipping companies such as UPS.
For those who are seeking a more “green” alternative to standard shipping, companies such as the UPS Store are introducing earth-friendly packaging that eliminates the need for bubble cushioning and packaging peanuts for many items. Biodegradable peanuts are also being produced and are available at select UPS stores. Still, customers can be earth-friendly with the use of recycled boxes for their shipping supplies. . And even though those packing peanuts are not a favorite “green” item, it’s a great idea to reuse them in packages rather than throwing them away. Overall, customers who choose carefully just in the size of the box they send, rather than grabbing whatever seems easiest, will help to reduce the use of fuel during delivery, which can have a great impact on the environment.
For do-it-yourselfers, Internet shipping options enable customers to indicate their service preferences, pay by credit card, print shipping labels and track packages. Once the label has been placed on the package, customers can choose to drop their package off at the local shipping company, arrange for a pick up, or drop off at a UPS drop box.
With only 21 days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, the week before Christmas week is expected to be the busiest shipping week. Since Monday is usually the busiest shipping day of the week, consider mailing packages Tuesday through Saturday. Customers should plan on five days for most ground shipping and make sure to consult their shipping company to determine the best dates for on-time delivery when shipping internationally or to military personnel. Most of these shipping businesses also offer extended holiday hours for customers’ convenience.
UPS’s mail rooms will be bursting as they expect to deliver 5. 6 million air packages on Friday, December 21 – more than two-and-a-half times the normal daily volume. It is also geared up to handle more than 150 million online package tracking requests during the week of December 19. To handle this immense volume, the company serves as one of the holiday season’s top employers, adding roughly 60,000 seasonal employees. Its ground fleet of more than 94,000 package cars, vans, and tractors has expanded by approximately 7,000 vehicles. For procrastinators, UPS accepts Next Day Air packages on Friday, Dec. 21 for delivery on Monday, Dec. 24, just in time for the big day.
Sending Sms: a Smart Way of Messaging Used by Tech-savvy People
0Undoubtedly, Internet is considered as the greatest invention of 20th century. Internet is one source which acts as a gaming console for players, information for researchers and music player for passionate listeners. Apart from this, now the users can also communicate with others via calling or sending SMS. With the latest advancement in the technology, the SMS is not only confined to simple text messages rather it has evolved the concept of advanced messaging. Therefore, it can be said that SMS has simplified our life by keeping us connected no matter how far we are. With contemporary technological advancements, the users can send SMS from websites on a global level with assistance of network service providers. The best part is that, while sending the SMS from the website, the users do not need a phone on condition that they possess a computer with Internet connection. For being a part of this revolutionary world, the users have to register themselves and get the desired information on any of the sites that offers free SMS services. These sites help the users to send SMS messages for free, regardless of geographical constraints. To be more specific, these websites offer space for the mobile phone number of the recipient together with the required space for the text message. The text message space depends on the SMS provider, but the maximum number of words allowed is commonly fixed at 160 characters. However, some SMS providers allow the users to send SMS with more characters. These sites allow the users to send SMS messages in words, numbers or any alphanumeric characters. This traditional expression of the technology allows users to receive and send text messages via Internet. There are many benefits of sending messages from Internet such as it reduces the telecommunication costs, improves productivity etc. It is as easy as sending an e-mail. Apart from these benefits, the free SMS service providers give out many other services to their senders such as status, submission verifications or replies. Also the senders can track their sent messages and find out when the messages were received. In addition, if the senders mark replies, the receiver can easily reply back to you. This two-way SMS contact without wasting a single penny is made possible solely through a free SMS service provider on the Internet. The SMS service is getting popular with the time, as writing a text message using a mobile phone takes too long with the keyboard. Even on advanced handsets with predictive text messaging, it might be really tough and time-consuming to write a message. Therefore, tech-savvy people are opting for this service. Most importantly, while registering for a free SMS service, the users must check out the terms and conditions carefully. As a matter of fact, not all SMS services are for free as they allege to be, some send paid SMS messages to your handset which makes the service pretty costly.
