Question : Never received extended warranty refund!?
We bought a used Toyota three years ago and purchased an extended warranty. The day after we took the car home, we went back to the dealership and asked them to cancel the warranty. The salesman told us that we needed to fax him the papers, so we went home and did what he asked. We proceeded to call him two or three times after we faxed the papers and he assured us that he had sent them in and the warranty would be canceled and taken off of the remaining balance on the car. Now three years later, we discover that the warranty was never canceled. It expired two months ago. Is there anything we can do to get the money refunded? We are prepared to file a complaint with the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. This has not been our only issue with the dealership. They also showed us the car in a dark garage and didn’t tell us the car had hail damage and other defects. When we finally saw the car in daylight, we took it back and were assured they would fix the problems. They kept the car for a week and told us that everything was fixed. When we took it back home, the car looked exactly the same. Nothing had been fixed! They also told us that they could not refund the sales tax if we wanted to return the car, which I’m pretty sure is illegal??? Any help is most appreciated. Thanks!

Too long “after the fact. It was your responsibility to insure the refund was received indicating the “extended warranty” was cancelled. As far as the problems with the hail damage and whatever else, it was unusual that they even indicated they would “unwind” the deal. You need to be more savvy when buying and if you have problems in the future, don’t wait so long to rectify them. ADDED…The person who mentions the “lemon law” doesn’t know what they are talking about. It does not cover used cars and never has. Their comments about car salesmen are also “opinion” and not fact.

This is the collapse of the entire global dollar-based financial system. The insane policies of both the Bush and Obama administrations have created the greatest financial bubble in history, through the $ 24 trillion bailout of the banks and insurance companies. We are on the verge of Weimar hyperinflation on a global scale.
Had Congress the guts to act, when LaRouche first warned that the collapse was on, in his now-famous July 25, 2007 webcast, the system could have been reformed. The first step is to deliver a crushing defeat to President Obama’s and his economic team’s prescription for a Nazi-modelled euthanasia plan, dubbed “health-care reform.” By defeating this genocidal scheme, the opportunity will arise to purge this new administration of the likes of Larry Summers, Tim Geithner, Peter Orszag, and the rest of the behavioral economists behind this Hitlerian scheme to declare whole segments of the population—starting with the elderly and the chronically ill—as what Hitler called “lives not worthy of living.”
On the basis of that defeat, a new team of economists, grounded in the reality of this existential crisis, can be brought in. LaRouche has spelled out how to put the current system through bankruptcy reorganization, and to reconstitute the kind of credit system conceived by Benjamin Franklin and his brilliant protégé Alexander Hamilton.

Question : HELP! I received Charges from City housing court w/ a Demolition threat!?
I recently just purchased a rental property in Buffalo, NY. I had the building inspected (by a home inspector) and the attorney said all matters were clear/have been cleared up with any isues with the city, state, etc. I just received a notice today (I bought the house in November) that states I failed to appear to Part 14 of the City Court of Buffalo Housing Court. I have a “new” date of January 22, but I never recieved anything prior. It is addressed to Danna Propreties (the seller I purchased from) c/o me. It states I must appear or there will be a warrant for my arrest. I have no idea what this is in regards to. It also states “based upon the charges alleged at this property, on the next court day we may conduct a demolition hearing to determine whether the structure or structures must be demolished to protect the safety of the surrounding community. What issues might cause this!?

When you purchased the property, you should have received a title insurance policy.
Contact the agent who issued the policy, immediately. When they performed a title search prior to closing, any court cases affecting your property would have come up in the search, and should have been cleared prior to closing.
Title Insurance is there to protect you, much the same way your auto insurance does.

Did you request this? If not, then that’s red flag number 1. Have you posted your email on Monster.com or other job/cv websites? That might be how they got it, too. Red flag number 2 is the spelling and grammar–it’s not correct; I realize that Quebec is officially bilingual, French *and* English being the official languages, but this raises my cautious eyebrow–especially if I hadn’t asked them to email me. Be especially wary if they ask for credit card, debit card, or other account numbers, and personal information. In fact, look up the hotel at http://www.omnihotels.com/FindAHotel/MontRoyal.aspx and contact them about this to see if it is legit.
