Question : Trip to Panama… where to stay and go?
So I am planning on taking a trip to Panama with my wife. We are looking for a place near the beach with a nice scenery… not too far away from the city though.

Can you guys recommend any vacation rentals, villas or really cool place to stay?

We both are in our mid twenties with no children. However not really looking for the night club scene… we want to connect with nature so a beautiful place with a nice beach would be perfect. Thank you

IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR … ” EL VALLE DE ANTÓN ” this is a really beautiful valley surrounded by nature, there are really near beaches: like 20 min. driving or taking a bus! … and also really near from the COSMOPOLITAN PANAMA CITY , like 1 hour distance driving or taking a bus.

BOQUETE is also a great place, with preety much the same characteristics, a little bit more cold and full with visitors from all over the world, but the diference is that it’s far from Panama City but near to David City (One of the main cities in the North of Panama and 5th largest city in ALL PANAMA)

I know that Spring break at Panama City is notorious for their parties but is it the same in the summer. My friends and I were looking at going to PCB this summer and were looking for a party. Will we find it or should we look at other beach locations?

I’m from Panama. In the city we have the bay that is not the best choice for beaches. You can go to Santa Clara that is 2hrs. by car from the city, also Playa Blanca and Decameron that are resorts and nice beaches as well. Decameron has all included (room, food and beverages). Playa Blanca has a very beautiful beach with white sand. All of them are about 2 hrs. from the city, and the most important, it’s safe. All os them are in the Pacific Ocean.
There are some others in the Atlantic like Portobelo that is used for snorkelling and scuba diving. Depends on what you want but all is fun.
