Question : Can a property insurance company give you nothing for 28,000 in damage?
I had my sister in law staying in my house, she trashed it! She tore the carpets, spray painted and broke windows, and a bunch of other nonsense. The insurance company won’t pay for vandalism unless she personally says she did it with malicious intent(so stupid) of course she won’t say that, she would go to jail! They won’t even give us anything out of the $ 28,000 until they find her, good luck with that because I have been trying for over a month! USAA says that all she has to say is that we told her she was allowed to make holes in our walls, ceilings, and tear out our plumbing and electric and they won’t give us anything. So basically they are going to take the side of the person who trashed my house over the person who pays their bills. They also said that the carpets look like she just spilled stuff on them and didn’t clean it up so it’s not covered, but there is marker, bleach and a bunch of other stuff all over every inch of them. They were brand new! Is this legal???
I should add that I was out of state, she asked if she could stay in my home while her husband was away. They also stole my toilet, shower, $ 5000 pool, lights, tiles, trim, baseboards, doors, and everything else possible that was in the house. She spraypainted the windows black and wrote her daughters name in lipstick all over the walls.

This is legal as long as the people in Washington (mainly Reps) are in the pockets of the insurance industry. How about those people that lost everything in Katrina? Same deal. It is our elected officials that don’t come up with legislation to ban such practices. It’s not like homeowners insurance is cheap.

That may spill over into mounting losses at some banks. Forty-seven percent of loans at the 7000-plus smaller US lenders are in commercial real estate, compared with 17 percent for the biggest banks, according to New York-based Goldman Sachs Group Inc.

Does something come from nothing ? An atheistic who mocks religion might think so in full faith! Science can tell you when the Big Bang began, but not what happened before or where it all originated. Atheists will tell you that the Big Bang and the Universe came out of nothing, if only to discount a god or a prime mover, even if the first law of thermodynamics is flouted by their imagination. As science reaches the edge of time, the helplessness of a thankfully few atheistic scientists is only too obvious with regard to what happened before its first instant. Scientists who believe in God or a prime mover have no problem in preserving the first law.

i am not doing your homework for you. google “string theory” and “multidimensional universe” and “string theory big bang”. this stuff isn’t simple like “and then god made the universe” so I think that’s why people are resistant to it. It’s not like I get string theory entirely…im no physicist… but i am open to the idea, and i understand enough to see the brilliance of the physicists who developed this stuff, though I can never fully understand it. I suppose that is what you say of god – but there is a little more “reality” behind string theory than god.
oh , and if you can show me scientific proof of god (since htat’s what you are demanding of me) i’d love to see it, hypocrite.

No. Landlords are not responsible for blinds unless it is specified in the lease/contract. You can negotiate to have this included before your move in date, but make sure it is in writing otherwise you are on your own to make the purchase of these items.
