Question : My neighbor thinks removing signs left on public property is a civic duty. I think it’s a lousy waste of time.
What is your opinion? She has a garage full of old signs, like realtor signs, garage signs, yard sales, open house, babysitting signs, new business signs, and she’s DARN proud of it; claiming she is teaching her children about civic order, (quoted the city ordinace about placing signs on public property) and, also feels adament about maintaining the property value in our neighborhood. I feel she’s an idiot, but heck, knock yourself out, but… despite, this,, does this really contribute to a viable form of community outreach, and public concern?

Question : What it the best solution for dealing with a troublesome neighbor and a condo association?
I rent a nice condo in a perfect location. But, the serenity is breached by some neighbor who is complaining about everything that happens here. A few people make a loud party. A car whose license plate is 2 days out of date is pointed out to a local police office and ticketed. The complaints never stop. I have always been nice to everyone who live around here.

In addition, the condo association’s management company is busy writing my landlord every time that this woman breathes. What do I do?

we have the same problem and our crazy neighbour got worse and worse and she gets away with everything, as long as they stay within the law there is nothing that you can do, they can live their life however they would like and you pretty much have no say and condo associations cannot kick them out , especially if they own their own condo unless theer is a huge breach of the rules.

we have been dealing with the psycho neighbour for years and haven’t been able to prove anything, she has stolen mail, smashed windows, calls police on people daily, has video camers on our houses , takes pictures of children etc,,,, and we have tried everything, we have called the papers, we have called the police, tried to get restraining orders, everything, all you can do, is when they do something that is against the law, make sure there are witnessess and take pics and then you can do something, other than that you are out of luck.

Police watched video and went to home ower where they live down the street -and owner of other car confess to police that they hit and ran from acident – but here in Michigan we have a no-fault law – My daughters car only has PLPD insurance which means its not covered for any thing but driving it and being insured in Michigan – So How do We make them Pay for All the damages to car -its probable $ 3,000 worth of damage -HELP

Question : How can I get my neighbor to stop harassing me?
My downstairs neighbor complained of a leak in their ceiling and thought I was the cause of it. I cooperated with a plumbing inspection and the inspection revealed nothing from my unit was leaking. Am I within my rights to ask my neighbor to leave me alone now that an inspection has revealed that I’m innocent?
I own a condo, but management company is responsible for structural problems.

Sure you are. You would be in your rights to tell him to leave you alone even had it been from your unit.

Question : Would the builder replace the bkyrd fence on a new home lot? I have 3 neighbor been there at least 3yrs.?
My house is being built by village builders, Tereavista (Austin, TX) the spec sheet state new fence backyard.
The current neighbors (left, two back, right) These houses been there at least 3 yrs. The fence is warp, leaning to my property line. The builder rep say they only add a new fence connecting at the front sides of the house to the 2 neighbors on my left & right. He say , i can bring up the issue when I go through the walk through inspection 1 week prior to closing.
My arguement is that the spec list for in the house, states backyard fence included. I would expect them to built new fence on my property line, which would be okay for me or replace the existing wood fence. I’m plaining to have my own 3rd party inspector with me during the walk through with the seller inspector.

Some HOA’s state that all fences are considered “shared fences” meaning that you and your neighbor have to split the cost for the new fence. With this said I doubt that your builder will give you a new fence since your present yard will be fenced in, even though you don’t like the appearance of your neighbors fence. The best option is to talk to your builder and your neighbors and try to get then to split the costs between themselves.

…for the past eight years. I know that some people don’t respond well to having neighbors who don’t care if they act erratic, but it seems like he has forgotten that it is there. Does anyone know if the neighbor will ever take his sign down? P.S. I just found out that one of my other neighbors is a registered sex offender. This is enought to drive someone crazy!
My neighbor put the sign up a few m0nths after my family moved in next door.
