I went to www.expedia.com and clicked on Flight + Hotel + Car Rental…the results can be sorted to include any amenities you would like. In October we used this website to book a 7 day vacation package from Bangor, ME to Orlando for $ 950US (this includes 2 round-trip airline tickets + a rental car for the week + a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom villa with kitchen, livingroom, dining area and screened patio).

Hopefully this helps…and sometimes you just have to watch the same website over the course of a week or two, just to see how the price fluctuates…that way you can purchase with confidence you are getting a good price.

I’m not 100% sure, you should ask your loan officer, but I believe it does. Put it on anyway, you want to have a lot of assets for a home loan app., and your only signing that your answers are complete to the best of your knowledge.

Question : My kitchen remodel included “appliance installation” does that include moving the appliances into the house?
I hired a kitchen design company to do a total gut and remodel of my kitchen. The contract says that appliance installation is included. The appliance company dropped off the appliances in my garage. My kitchen contractor is claiming that only the “installation” of the appliances is included, not the physical movement of the appliances from outside the house to inside. Is this typical? I feel like I’m getting ripped off because I might have to spend extra money to get a mover.

When we specify installation, we mean that we physically move them from where they were delivered to where they will be installed. It often happens that the appliances are delivered before other work that needs to be performed before the appliance is installed, isn’t. And, we don’t want the appliances cluttering up the area until that work is completed, so many clients have them delivered into the garage until my electrician or plumber says the appliance is ready to be installed and all other prep work is completed.

Personally, I would be a little insistent with the design company that they move the appliances from the garage to the kitchen. Especially, if there is other work to be completely prior to their installation. I would threaten to contact the Better Business Bureau and the State Contractor’s Licensing Board to complain. Moreover, this is a very poor example of customer service and I gather they aren’t expecting you to be a happy satisfied customer who will act as a referral in the future!
