But he’s yet? Anyway, of course, your role will depend on the transmission lines of the existence of another descendant of your grandfather (he other son or daughter, grandson, etc.?) And in your own grandmother or grandfather and the father or mother (which means , his descendant)? I see no reason, you should be cut off from the inheritance, if you consider this basic information.

Question : Hello, I can’t decide to move to Vegas or not. Please give me advise…?
Currently we live in bay area and rent apartment. We are family of 3: me, my husband and kid 1.5 years old. Our recent income is ~170 K total. We have been offered to be moved to Las Vegas office and keep our salaries same. Here we can’t afford to buy a house in area with best schools because houses are over 1.2 mil in those areas. In Las Vegas we can afford to buy nice house in Summerlin area in cash. So far expenses will be same or similar in both places besides housing. I read that there is lots of crime in Vegas, house invasions while people are still in house. Also I read that schools are bad. Found some info about black widow spiders, scorpions and sneaks in summerlin area. And so on and so on.. I am starting to wonder if Las Vegas is good place to move.. and is it worth to move only because of low houses price and low income taxes. Please advise..
What is the cost of private schools there?

Um…
100 sq. ft. would be a 10′ x 10′ room. Or 8′ x 12.5′. More of a cabinet than a room.
Well, I suppose that would allow one person to work.
Long Island must be very expensive. You may have to co-op with another business.

Hello From Chicago – Part 4 – Chinatown and Second City

0

Chicago, Arlington House, October 23,2005 Sunday, 30/06 clock

After thoroughly exploring the Pullman Historic District, we decided to Chinatown, one of the many ethnic neighborhoods, Chicago has to offer to consider. The weather was cool and gray with the occasional glance in the dark hours of sunshine, rainy and cold, so instead of walking, we decided to have called an early dinner at a restaurant in China Town King Lobster.

Both my friend Linda and I ordered a vegetarian, but after taking our order the waiter back and told us to give us more money would be much higher for each dish as vegetables during the months of winter. I decided to have a look at their snack menu and saw the same price, which was performed in the snack menu in the main menu. Accordingly, I put an argument when both dinner and snack menu in the same price for both dishes, I would not agree with a charge for each additional property on the basis of an oral exam. Either you change the menu, the higher price mentioned or charge the prices that appear on both menus. I’m not usually a difficult task, picky br guest in a host institution, but to try to pay more for a dish that does not seem to pay listed at a lower price on the two menus to a business practice to myself Br < />
The waiter / manager finally agreed to charge us the prices on the menu and the food was delicious effect. After exploring the Chicago Cultural Center and the historic Pullman district, we were very hungry and we enjoyed our early dinner.

After we collect, we jumped on the subway, because we wanted to check in Little Italy. We are on the Blue Line and spoke of the UIC (University of Illinois) and walk south of campus. At that time it was raining and it was wet one days rather inhospitable. We never really find Little Italy ended, but was cut by about 40 minutes in the rain and after this exercise in futility, we decided to continue our evening plans. To take part in a show at Second City, the place famous Chicago comedy

So we took the metro back to downtown Jackson and we waited for the purple line, until we realized that this line works only during peak hours on weekdays. So we asked what we have to take line, and we discovered that the Brown Line (Kimball) us to Second City. At that time we realized that we waited on the wrong side of the platform. I think running in the loop el-trains in one direction and that we wondered why we drive three blocks from the brown line across seen on the platform, but none of them have arrived on this page.

I would say we spent a good 45 minutes waiting time on the wrong side of the platform until we finally had enough and I went on a CTA employee who ask us to correct out on the platform. In the rain it was not the most exciting part of our wet trip but we were talking with great in-jokes in our dialects of Austrian origin.

Finally, we have a brown line train and made our way to North Wells Street, near the old town, the home of Second City Comedy Club. Since 1959, Second City has become a landmark of Chicago and a national treasure. This theater has launched the careers of such comic geniuses as John Belushi, Mike Myers, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, and more. It offers comedy shows every night, and a variety of programs and services.

The theater has two stages, both of which were sold yesterday, so we started on the 4th Floor of the building, Donny Skybox Studio Theatre, which is associated with Second City worldwide. The theater offers an eclectic mix of student productions and performances of alternative and $ 00 per person, tickets were a bargain.

The awareness program and the diversity of product two fifty-eight original shows each year Theatre Workshop Second City, Donny Skybox made on the fourth floor of Piper’s Alley. At least one of these productions has written an original contribution and all the range and diversity, a group of African-Americans, Latinos and Asian actors through annual auditions votes.

We bought tickets for the show 21 hours: “Six Degrees of Reparation,” a magazine of hip comedy with improvisation, original documents and classic scenes second largest city with a multicultural city, the feeling that was put on foot by 6 young actors, including 5 black and an Eastern artist.

The show offered a lot of slapstick and a variety of different designs. One of the funniest sketch was “Osama bin Laden could be anywhere” with the title, where one of the actresses on a big black beard down and kept popping up in various everyday situations. The “Superior Asian Sketch played with A, B, C (Asian, Black, White) showed and how the stereotypes we all have preconceived ideas of the other. In “Black Black Awards” sketch troupe made fun of stars such as Whitney Houston, Maya Angelou, and even Martha Stewart.

One of the most poignant skits was in a store Office Depot fantasy, where store employees were black and Asian service is very bad and hostile to a variety of clients. In the end, said young black dealer, was having a content of 0.50 an hour after all expenses (food, rent, bus tickets, do their nails, etc.), there are 9 in the hole, and a smile at this price would not be included in the service.

We enjoyed the spectacle of these huge talented actor that we both love theater and comedy. In terms of culture, Chicago has to offer everyone.

Well, today is our last day here in Chicago, and time should be very cold rain with 60% probability. Fortunately, Chicago has many indoor so I am sure that we choose not boredom arises.

Hello From Montreal – Part 11 – A meeting with Andre? Giroux – Owner of a bike rental Roule?

0

1 July 2006

did have my guided bicycle tour with about Roule and Bruno, a licensed guide Guidatour, really introduced Montreal enjoyed around us. And my own independent investigation of the bike along the Canal Lachine introduced me to a page from Montreal, I had never been exposed. After returning my bike after a day of practice I wanted to know a little more about who is behind this operation, about Roule Montréal roles or, as it is called in English.

Montreal, incidentally, is a wonderful city to explore by bicycle. The old port, the network of cycle paths along the Lachine Canal and along the St. Lawrence River and the islands of St. Helena Iceland and Parc Jean Drapeau in the St. Lawrence are well-read bike. Of course, the road system on the Mount Royal also adds some interesting terrain for cyclists and many picturesque area of Montreal are ideal for exploring by bicycle. Montreal was voted the number one city for cyclists in 1999 by Bicycling magazine.

Wheels is a bicycle rental shop and tour the harbor at 27 Boulevard De La Commune East. André Giroux, owner, founded the company 12 years ago. He studied law and spent seven years as a lawyer specializing on litigation and legal advice to large developers. An avid athlete, playing hockey and tennis Andre and he really liked the bike and in 1994 he decided to open a little shop on the first lease rental of roller skates, general enthusiasm focused in the mid-1990s. The stability of the original equipment also included 12 bicycles. Meanwhile the fleet by more than 70 bicycles, including mountain bikes, tandems, mountain bikes, electric bikes and electric scooters has increased. His shop also rents trailers and child carriers child.

I asked him what the name of “Wheels” really means and explains that the French phrase “running” literally, but it is generally understood as “things are good,” it works fine. He explained that his shop specializes in customer service, staff is responsible, and they are to give advice on all sorts of cycling activities in and around Montreal. Each has a map of bicycle routes in the city and a bottle of water is received in each round.

The customers from all over the world including the U.S., the rest of Canada and many European countries. Rent Australia, too, Korean and Japanese travelers are muscle powered equipment from him and some of his clients referred from the hotels and the Tourist Office in Montreal. In addition, it also offers bicycle repair shop and some of his customers are repairing part of the 3,500 permanent residents, now live in Old Montreal, staff working in Old Montreal and commute by bicycle.

This rule has six employees: two technicians to repair bikes and four travel guide. He recently began working with Guidatour and the two companies together have an official City Cycling Tour, which is led by a licensed guide developed. This morning I participated in this round of official city and in my view, exploring a city by bike has one of the best ways to discover a new place.

In all the Nordic countries, the activity of the bicycle is seasonal and the season on Wheels goes from May to October, sometimes even in November, depending on the weather. In winter, Andrew on updating the website and develop strategies for future business and last year he had a chance to go to Florida to work for 3 weeks. In summer the shop is very busy and Andrew and his staff worked very had, but he tried to leave the wheel even in the evening hours 7-20 hours. He enjoys the islands of Montreal and Ile Sainte-Hélène Parc Jean-Drapeau

cycling.
Andrew also said that the wheels in a position to offer tailor-made tours. Once a group of people invited to a tour to the summit of Mount Royal to start. So he rented a van and transported several bikes at the top of the mountain to the tour group was able to begin their journey to their starting point. All kinds of special missions can be done, they could also require some call content.

With all this exercise, I was ready for dinner very solid, so I thank Andrew for his time and on the official tour guide of the city, one of the best ways to know the city and continued my research Montreal on Canada Day.

Hello From Chicago – Part 5 – A visit to the historic Pullman neighborhood

0

Chicago, Arlington House, Sunday, 23 October 2005, 06:25

After adequately prepared for our visit to the Chicago Cultural Center, we decided to visit yesterday to the historic Pullman, a planned industrial and residential area in 1880, the South Side of Chicago.

To reach there, we have connected the red line all the way through and then by bus 111th What was very interesting to note is that the population is mostly black on the south side of Chicago, much like he had the black population of the southern states migrated northward after the 2nd World War II. was detected in fact, Chicago is one of the racial divide, and today with the demolition of many housing projects, urban dark, the city is trying to create closer integration between the people in black and white. Br

The Pullman Historic District is the manifestation of a very interesting experience Name: It was built 1880-1884 as a planned model industrial town by George M. Pullman for the Pullman Palace Car Company. George Pullman (1831-1897) came on the scene with a design for the Pullman sleeping car, which he originally developed to transport the dead body of Abraham Lincoln to his funeral. Accordingly, the Pullman Sleeping Car Company and created an entire town was built around the company and the name of its initiator.

We went to the basement and saw a 18-minute film, George Pullman and his ambitious plans for its development describes a model community, a global environment, that it should be for the working class as it is available elsewhere. He hoped to avoid strikes, attract more skilled workers and higher productivity through improved health and spirit of its employees to achieve.

To achieve its vision, George Pullman introduced Solon S. Beaman, landscape architect Nathan F. Barrett and civil engineer, Benzette Williams. The city was built by the Pullman employees, using local red clay of the Lake Calumet and components that were produced at the plant in Pullman. This project is one of the first examples of industrial technology and mass production in large units. The city was planned and a whole community, including schools, library and hotel all managed by the company.

Pullman Grand Arcade building (now gone, and the current location of the visitor center) as a restaurant, bank, library, post office, a theater and shopping. It was a forerunner of the modern shopping center. The city was completely autonomous. Pullman residents enjoyed the artificial lake and Vista has numerous parks and promenades, usually not in working-class neighborhoods of Chicago.

The town of Pullman was a model of financial capacity. Pullman, the company has again called for a gain of 8 percent and the city a profit of 6 percent. be a huge engine pumped sewage from the city to a nearby farm of Pullman, where it was used as fertilizer for the products sold back to the city heard.

George Pullman received the ultimate control of the town, even restricting workers’ access to alcohol, such as the Hotel Florence only sold alcohol out of town visitors. Resentment towards this paternalistic despot started to build. The accident has with the decline of the success of the Pullman car, which struck George forced to slash wages. The workers responded to a strike, to reduce by the failure of Pullman, the cost of food and rent fired up, but George simply fired. The situation deteriorated as railway workers refused to handle Pullman cars and President Cleveland had to intervene, sending federal troops to the scene. The workers were forced to documents specifying that they would not join a union to sign.

Although the strike collapsed, the model failed George Pullman for the treatment of “labor problem” was. Pullman was proud of his paternalistic approach with his workers and he does not see as his strong arm methods to have led this revolt of the workers. criticized and ridiculed Pullman died a bitter man in 1897.

In 1898 the Illinois Supreme Court ordered the Pullman Company to develop non-industrial land in the neighborhood to sell to their residents, determined that the Pullman Palace Car Company is not authorized to provide manufacturing services has not, as the subject. Finally, residents can buy their houses.

Robert T. Lincoln, son of President Lincoln, was head of the company after the death of Pullman and simplify its name to the Pullman Company. The Pullman Company continued its famous cars at 111th Street and Cottage Grove Avenue produce. But with the explosion of automobile ownership, rail passenger traffic went into rapid decline. In 1957 Pullman Incorporated closed its plant in the neighborhood.

Just three years later “abandoned areas and deteriorating,” the city of Chicago Pullman on a list of included and that the required permission for the redevelopment. Residents responded by the Pullman Civic Organization and began to attack the monument. The historic Pullman Foundation, established in 1973 helps to ensure the conservation area and the restoration of sponsoring various events such as visits to neighborhood on foot, with annual visits home, Sunday brunch at the Hotel Florence and presentations at the Pullman Visitor Center.

In many ways, the housing development was ahead of his time. Each building, most of them houses, a gas and water supply, sanitation and complete large quantities of air and sunlight costs which was a rarity at the time when the class has been working mostly housed in squalid apartments. Originally from the town of Pullman housed about 12,000 people, while it still has a population of about 2,000, with an ethnic background, and Joint Economic.

Other famous buildings on the base include the Pullman Hotel Florence, the name of Pullman’s favorite daughter. It opened in 1881 as a showcase home for visitors to the city by George Pullman and originally had 50 rooms, a dining room, billiard room, a lounge and the only bar in Pullman. The historic Pullman Foundation has saved the hotel from demolition and today the hotel is closed to the public, while under a capital improvement program to restore use with the State Historic Site.

The Pullman Clock Tower and Administration Building was built in 1880 for the executive floor of the Pullman Palace Car Company at the time one of the most beautiful industrial plants in the United States. In 1998 the clock tower and administration building were severely damaged by a fire set by an arsonist. Since then, the building was stabilized and restored bell tower was given a few days before our visit. The future use of the site is currently provided by an independent group working with Chicago Mayor Daley and Illinois Governor Ryan discussed.

Another interesting building in the historic Pullman is the Queen Anne-style market hall, built in 1881. The market was an opportunity for fresh fruit, meat and other products. The original market was destroyed by fire in 1892 and became a new market built on the existing foundations. The market is surrounded by four round colonnaded buildings that were built with the new market hall in 1893. Unfortunately, the market building by fire in 1973 destroyed and today it is restoring.

The Greenstone Church, centrally located in the Pullman Historic District, has a serpentine outer won in Pennsylvania. The sanctuary is unchanged, except as a choir. All cherry wood is original. Today the church is still occupied by a Methodist congregation.

The visit to the Pullman Historic District was very interesting. We learned about a different time of the final laissez-faire capitalism, industrial growth and immigration, social conflict, urban planning, architecture and the ultimate failure of a rather unique advantages.
