Question : How much credit do I ask for re: a broken heat pump ? I did a home inspection today on a condo in Boston and the heating split system did not work. The inspector explained how the heat pump system works and that rignt now the heat is working on “emergency only”, meaning that the indoor unit works but the outside unit is not operating. We notified the property management company 3 times stating that the glow bar is not working on the heater.
