I became the administrator of the estate of my uncle. I thought he had his financial records … Unfortunately, he died without a will and incompetent (Testament) … There are no legal problems. I live in KS … He lived in New York. He gave no taxes to the IRS since 2003. My records began in 2007. What should I do if I have no financial records, and there is a small area on two promissory notes? Reply

It’s hard to say what may be due depending on your history. It can tax income and can not. I am a case manager and my boss just called and asked me to find this out. I don’t have time to research this I am completely slammed with the other projects she has given me every day for the past month.

Yesterday i had to find out how to reapply for a reverse mortgage for a client and if we need to go through the darn counseling again. And Yes it is I who has to listen to this counselor not my client. geez.

Today i am working on funeral info because one of our wards died. i am too chicken to answer questions concerning the funeral…thinking that i will really screw that up. omg. OK folks all this guardianship stuff has officially way over my pay grade. I am very stressed today.

I have 70 Wards & POA clients, each one has an individual folder with 28 sub folders. I have 2200 docs in my computer that I monitor….ok. Please help with the above question.
My work is totally nuts! I case note every email and call I receive and my boss receives. She gets 30 calls each day and 50-100 emails…I think I have become the fastest typist ever! thanks

Yes. If you pay two insurance companies, you can file with two insurance companies. But, be very careful, your premiums will skyrocket, and you won’t be able to switch companies if they see you have a lot of claims.

I use Turbo Tax to file my taxes and I receive my interest statements from my bank for filing — my bank also handles paying my insurance and property taxes — In addition to deducting my mortgage insurance on my filing, can I also deduct the property taxes that were paid that year? and if so, where on my return to do I specify this deduction?

You can use mortgage interest and property tax as a deduction for your Federal Income Tax. Assuming that you have enough deductions to itemize, you would list these on Schedule A.

However, you cannot use these deductions for your MD state income tax filing.

i would think if you had damage to your roof that would be covered by insurance you would have already contacted your insurance company. the contractor can look at the roof, assess the damage and give an estimate. filing a claim is your responsibiity (if it’s your house). in most cases, repairs from general wear and tear are not covered by homeowners insurance. contact your insurance company yourself to find out if the repairs will be covered before committing to anything with a contractor.

We are looking to purchase our first home in the Denver area in about a year. We both have bad/old credit(both of our credit scores are below 600) Our income will be around 75k(I am finshing up nursing shool)

We are trying to see if this is even possible or if we should just be content renting for several more years.

We are expecting a higher interset rate. I have heard of “B loans” & “sub prime lenders” and have been trying to look into them.

We are trying to decide if we should just file bankruptcy now and see if our credit gets better or if it is possible to get a loan?

Will we need 20% down with this bad of credit, or can filing bankruptcy help that?

Before you do that – find out the basis of the denial. Have them send you the reason fr denial in writing along with a copy of your policy. If the denial is legit – it’s a waste of time to sue because you’d lose.

If you still want to file a law suit -you have 2 options.

1. go to your local magistrate court and file there. That’s “small claims” court. Peoples Court kind of thing. You don’t need an attorney and can do it yourself.

2. if you are seeking more than the max amount allowed by small claims court you will need to hire an attorney. Take the policy and the letter from the insurance company with you. If you find that no attorney will take your case – that’s a good sign you don’t have a case.
