What happened next was nothing short of a riot. Dozens of people leaped onstage, there were moshpits EVERYWHERE in the audience, and it was one of the most chaotic things I’ve ever experienced. Being in the front row, people were using my head as a springboard to get onstage, while security was shoving the mass of humanity back in general, including using my face. Security eventually whisked Ozzy and the band off the stage, and the police made everyone call it a night. It was all over San Diego news that night, and on MTV news the next morning. I looked like I was on the wrong end of a fight when I got home.

Okay this was years ago…and it was kind of strange and I was pissed. My boyfriend at the time and I were at a Queen concert. The cops grabbed my boyfriend and dragged him away. Of course I have no idea whats going on. Well somebody that was sitting below us and said that somebody above him threw a cigerette butt down and he got hit with it.
It wasn’t my boyfriend but we missed a bit of the concert because they were questioning him.. That was when Freddy Mercury was alive!!! We were PISSED!

Question : Could anyone recommend an event center that would have around 25,000 sq. ft. besides the Austin Convention Ctr
I already know about the Convention Center, Palmer Event Center, Hilton Conv. Ctr. I am holding an event open to the public and need a place that will hold up to 150 or so vendor booths as well as have a stage or room to place a portable stage. I would prefer something centrally located and feel like there may be something out there that I am missing just because I do not know of it. I lived there previously, but currently live out of state and cannot go to see auditoriums there right now. I do have a son that lives there that I can send to inspect premises. It can be a “plain Jane” building that I can dress up for the event, or a really nice one, but it needs to have a lot of open space and be in an easily accessible place with plenty of parking. This would be for a wedding and home related event and would be held again next year, so we would like to select a venue that we can use again in case we grow. I appreciate any suggestions. If not in the center of town, give address.

This originally was posted under “Business & finance/Corporations” and received no replies. I am reposting it under “Society and culture.”
You can name one or multiple things. If multiple, please rank in order. Here are just some possibilities: 1) Going for your annual doctor’s check-up, 2) Going to the dentist (although I realize this is ‘supposedly’ a ‘bi-annual’ thing), 3) Getting your taxes done (although I realize many of you may be getting money back), 4) Taking your old (5+ years?) vehicle to the mechanic’s shop for it’s annual safety/emissions inspection, 6) If you own a commercial (or residential) structure, having the buildings department come to inspect it, 7) If you own a restaurant or food business, having the health department inspection done, etc…
In today’s day and age, a case could also be made for having to open up and look at your financial statements, but unfortunately that’s a once a month (or quarterly) occurrence for most of us!
