Question : 2007 Mazda 3 engine is blown. Dealer wants to charge us for repair when it’s under warranty? My husband’s 2007 Mazda 3 has been knocking. He had to drive it home and then to the dealership on Monday (9/29). The car is still in the shop. We’ve provided all the maintenance receipts as of Friday. Dealership called my husband today saying they needed his OK to open it up and if they see that it wasn’t properly lubricated they will charge him for the whole deal. I have an opportunity to manage about 20 residential units in 3 bldgs in the Oakland/San Leandro area for a friend. Responsibilities would be to collect the rent, basic record keeping, filling vacant units, arranging for upkeep & repairs. I have no idea what to charge for this. Question : How much should I charge for remodeling projects? I worked for a remodeling company for a couple years and now am in a different line of work. I still do side projects sometimes. What is a fair hourly rate for general remodeling like replacing a bath tub, tiling a floor, building a deck? The company I worked for charged $ 65/hr and paid me $ 20/hr. We are moving from Calif. to the midwest and deciding whether to use U-Haul and do it ourselves or have somebody do it all for us. Answer by dustycatI’m guessing 3K, my sister moved from Knoxville to Denver and it was 3K.
I would try checking around, even if you rented a U-haul and did it yourself, you’re looking at 2K.
