I am traveling to St. Maarten in a week and need to rent a car. I have insurance with a 500 dollar deductable. Would anyone recommend additional rental insurance? What kind of insurance and would this insurance cover everything with no deductible. Any time you rent a car outside of the US, I always recommend extra insurance. Also some countries require you to purchase insurance. St. Maarten doesn’t require to purchase extra insurance if you have a $ 500 deductable, but they do have extra fees and taxes.
