Question : I have a leak in my kitchen, I removed my cabinets and there is a large amount of black mold behind them…..? The leak seems to be coming from the wall not the ceiling…there is a large amount of black and green mold. My main concern is identifying the source of the leak any ideas? who should I call a roofer or a mold specialist? mold specialist

Answer by T CNeither one, if you have the ability to remove the cabinets, you can find the leak and fix it. Anyone you hire will have to remove the sheetrock to find the source of the water, you can do that.

Question : Is it normal for contractors to include a fee on cabinets as a part of a kitchen remodel? The quote from our contractor includes an 8% contractor’s fee. This fee is applied to all aspects of the kitchen remodel-the demo, electric, etc. and it even includes the cabinets although the cabinets are ordered through a separate company and that company is responsible for installation. Just curious if it’s normal to pay this as we could save over $ 1,000 if the fee was removed for that portion of the project! kitchen remodeling contractors
