Has anyone ever sold real estate in another country (especially Ireland), while living here in the U.S.?

My family and I have to offer a house in Ireland, we. We are American citizens, and the house is on behalf of my mother. She (born and raised in the U.S.) their own house here, and it is also a U.S. citizen. What kind of taxes / capital gains / charges / etc we are looking to pay when we sell?
