Would I as a broker?
I’m happy to get my license real estate broker in Ottawa, Ontario. I have a job guaranteed a team in a major real estate company. My question is should I do, and yet the market is big enough to deal with another broker? I’m only 18 and know that I work for a while to build some contacts and customer base, and I know I can do things (I’m currently very well placed of sale) to sell. What is this a decent way to earn money? Or is the market crappy because of the recession and a population of more agents at the moment? All Boards of Realtors in Ontario will be much appreciated! Of course it’s hard job and only the best ones can go over average, but i can tell you – if you like it, go for it! you can go up in ranking faster than in most of the other businesses. don’t be afraid about the market, the worst months are over, market is now in quite a good shape and will probably remain such.

Don’t let the recession scare you. Good agents are making money. Some are even telling me that they are doing better now, because there is less competion due to other agents quitting. Real estate investors are buying up deals like crazy now. Alot agents who are working with investors are making a killing.

If you are sure you have good selling skill, you are potential candidate. However be aware of one difference – I guess you have been selling some kind of standardized products till now. Every home is different, every neighbourhood is different, so the market is segmented. Real estate requires you to orientate quickly in this small segments. But I believe you can make it, good luck!
