Is it good for small businesses or work décent.J’ve heard a lot about the growth of SK .. It is oil-related (in the jobs I mean) has or a person with marketing background a good chance to get a job. I’m currently in Toronto.

several reasons for the boom in SK …. Oil is one of them and creates jobs …. Another is to recognize residents who seek SK left to greener pastures in Alberta, that the pastures are green, as in Saskatchewan, and at a fraction of the price. This reverse migration is a little inflation, but remains well below the likes of Edmonton and Calgary.Ayant between Regina and Saskatoon, Saskatoon choose, I would choose … but it is a personal decision. By the way, I live in Winnipeg, so I’m completely unbiased.
Marketing is tough here unless you don’t mind working for a small, localized company. Even then, it’s tough. It took me forever to get a marketing job in Saskatoon. Most of the jobs I see advertised are not Marketing jobs but either technical or senior positions in local comapnies. Real Estate is tough too as the housing in Saskatoon, although strong, is starting to slow a bit. The boom is not all oil related, although it is a significant factor. A lot of it has to do with SK people moving back from AB when they realized the grass is not always greener. We have other industries that have contributed to the boom (eg. mining, manufacturing, research, etc.) and, as a result, the boom may level but shouldn’t crash.
There’s jobs but I’d check postings at canada.com or moster.ca or workopolis.com, etc. to see what’s out there. But if you just want a job at Tim Hortons, they’re always hiring
