property management license

www.pmdave.com 4th interview with Wendy Frenzel of A Vantage Properties. PmDave: What should I look for in a property management company if I decide to use one? Wendy Frenzel: When you are looking for a property manager you are looking for someone that has the same philosophy as you. If you believe you should have someone visit the home a couple of times a year, you need to make sure that that property manager does that. If price is the only thing that is important to you – make sure you are up front, because there are some property managers if price is the only thing you care about they might not want to talk with you. Because they want the right fit as well. It is like interviewing for a job. When you interview for a job, you are not only looking to see if they are interested in you – you are interest in seeing if you are interested in that company. It is very similar when you are talking with a property manager. You want to make sure that both of you are comfortable with this relationship because that is what it is. I always tell people it is like getting married without the marriage license. Because you are going to be talking about money and that can be a very big item. So you are looking for the right fit and does it feel comfortable. How they advertise is another thing, how often they visit the home – to me it is totally a feel. Some people say I want to only talk to you on the phone, others Hey I am long distance just email me I am good with that – just text me I
