I wouldnt mind paying a couple grand but 7% would just kill me. Comps are selling for $ 180 – 190,000. I can qualify people, overcome objections and I am a great closer etc. I know the cost of repairs b/c I am very handy and I also remodeled the entire house within the last few years. I also have a great lawyer to use for closing.
I know that it is taking a while for houses to sell. luckly I live in a very nice area and houses are selling in about 2 months. I was thinking about putting up a huge sign that says: “for sale by owner” then my website address and “by appointment only”. My biggest concern is that I want realtors to be able to show and sell my house without paying them 6 – 7% in commission.
