Every year we spend over $ 350 on a tax preparer and end up with errors which the IRS seems to correct before sending us a check for more value than what we are told. We want to try and prepare our own taxes this time but not sure what software we should get. We have a rental property in North Carolina for which we pay a mortgage and are living in a rental apartment in Virginia. We have 2 dependents and one of us works part time and the other full time. What software do you recommend in this situation? We have vista on our computer. Thanks much!

Turbo Tax is what I use, I always pay the 80 or 90 dollars for the deluxe edition which does rentals and other business stuff.

I’m not made of money and it will take me 1 or 2 years to save enough money for this Florida Key vacation, but I would like to spend 5 days in the sun…just once. I will be renting a car to drive there and then I will need to pay for room and food & drink and fun in the sun.

Probably Key Largo or even Isla Morada… you can still drive down to Key West and see the attractions then come back. In Key Largo you have John Pennecamp Natl Park which is very nice and has good snorkeling too. Don´t go to Key West to stay because everything there is overpriced. But keep in mind southern Florida is not cheap as we get lots of tourism all year round. If you want to cut costs you could come in august which is the peak of hurricane season, but you risk a hurricane of course and that´s no fun trust me. That´s why it´cheaper too.

schools. If at some point you feel that your child would benefit from formal schooling, he will be able to find an IGCSE school which will take their child. Though one must that most IGCSE schools appear to be high end in terms of fees.

I am not sure I understand all of what you said… but I support the right of parents to educate their children at home, regardless of where they live. In some countries there might be specifics about the culture that would validate more regulation of the practice than in other countries.

I know people can collect the rents but these days it might have to be a muscle bound guy.
