Best condo to stay in Northshore Kauai?
Question : Best condo to stay in Northshore Kauai?
I will be Kauai in May of 2011 for 12 days. I am considering two condos: Hanalei Bay Resort of Kea Resort (I believe)? Both seem good, but I am unsure of which. OR should I stay at another one. We only need a one bedroom because there are only three of us. It would be helpful if anyone from there or who has been there answers my question. THanks!

long time to stay only on Kauai.
MORE options on the big island.

I’ve been to Kauai 5 times. All 5 times I’ve stayed at Hanalei Colony Resort in Haena, a few miles before the road ends. It’s absolutely gorgeous. No amenities, really. No TVs in the condos. A public phone by the pool. They do have a pool and hot tub. There is a coffee shop and restaurant on the premises, but no room service. Very quaint. Very quiet. VERY beautiful. I always stay in the premium ocean front rooms. They are the best. I prefer the F building because you literally walk out your room and there’s the ocean. The staff are all fabulous, very friendly. There are grills on the grounds so you can cook out.
It’s a little pricey, but it’s WAY worth it!
