Princeville or Poipu? We are planning on going to Kauai in December. We have 4 kids, 4 adults – which one?
Question : Princeville or Poipu? We are planning on going to Kauai in December. We have 4 kids, 4 adults – which one?
There is a chance we might go in October instead, but Princeville is the only one available in October.

Hmmmm. Both are beautiful, but since you are going in December, I would choose Poipu, because it gets the best weather. The island is not that big and you will definitely be able to see the whole island. So you can stay in Poipu, but do visit Princeville, because it really is a gorgeous place.
If it were me, I would go to Princeville in October. The northern side of Kauai is the most beautiful place you could imagine. But it would be quite likely to rain in December. October you would have a better chance of good weather. If you have to go in December, then I’d suggest Poipu.
