Question : Moving to south beach, Miami, in Dec. How to meet good people there?
I’m moving to Miami in Dec, and as much as I’m excited about it, I know myself, and I will only feel like home there once I know people and made good friends. I know I can meet people in the bars/gym and in school, but are there any other venues in South Beach where I can meet people, like social clubs?
I’ve read that Miami can be exciting but shallow. I think it will be what I make of it. Any pointers from locals or people who lived there would be appreciated. Thanks!

I visited both SF and Miami and people are pretty much the same. They are a bit guarded towards people they don’t know, but are cool if you go up to them and talk to them.
Its best to go somewhere that interests you. Do you have any arts or sports interests? You can join one of those kind of clubs. Check the local paper for events and look on meetup.com as well.
