Question : How do I get out of my lease?
About 10 months ago, I lived in Dallas, TX. As a Dallas resident, I lived in a house with 2 other roommates. After fulfilling more than my one-year committment to the lease, I found a job that would require me to transfer to Houston, TX.

After 13 months of living in the house, I gave my roommates two months notice that I would be moving out (and even paid bills and rent for an entire month that I did not live there).

I have called the property management company several times. They claim to be “working on the issue,” but there has been no action taken to relieve me of this contract.

The original roomates still live in the house, but I would like to be released from the contract so that I am not held liable for any non-paid rent/late fees/damage to the property.

ok. the wife and i are selling or 1000 sq’ house to relocate a little closer to my daughter and to a 1500 sq’ house. we have a bid accepted on the new house, but are trying to do the “BY OWNER” thing on ours. what are the best ways to advertise our house w/o breaking the bank? we have craigslist and a local 4sale website, and a sign in the yard and signs by our 2 roads. any other ideas w/o a realtor involved? we should be priced in the lower end of what comparable homes are selling for currently. any help GREATLY appreciated.
