i would think rentals would be more profitable than sales…hawaii is mostly tourists, so they wont be bringing their own gear and definitely wont be buying…the locals already have their own gear…the only issue would be how much competetion is there already–i know Snorkel Bob’s is on almost every corner in the busier parts of hawaii…but if you find the right location it should work, afterall there is no “off season” in hawaii so you can be open year round…hell i might try it too, thanks for the idea!!!
