Can you be home schooled and still have a Graduation?
Question : Can you be home schooled and still have a Graduation?
Can somebody be homeschooled and still graduate high school by walking across the stage? I don’t mean if the teacher and the parents arrange a personal graduation. I mean an actual professional Graduation that public high schools offer. So, can a student be homeschooled and still have a graduation? Thanks.

Many area homeschooling groups arrange a formal graduation. Here in Arkansas they are held at the homeschooling conventions each year. Cap, gown, stage… all the traditional pomp and circumstance. All you have to do is look to find one in your general area.

Our daughter’s friend, older sister (gosh that’s a mouthful) graduated back in June and she had a big graduation with a few homeschooling groups conjoined together. It just depends on your area, so i would check with your homeschooling group. Some people don’t have them and they just order their diploma, some others will actually get to have one. Not as big and fancy as a public or private school, but the girl got to walk across a stage, in a gown, and receive her diploma and then the next day we had a graduation party for her!

Depends upon your area. Some have homeschool groups that get together and put on a traditional graduation. Some cities even have a graduation for the homeschool kids. Here in Alaska, if you are part of a state run program, the host school district puts on a graduation for their students. Ask around your local area. Keep in mind that the larger the number of graduating students, whether it’s homeschool or regular, the bigger the graduation ceremony can be because there are more students/families to share costs.

well i don’t think so. you have too go to school to get that privilege. why would you want to be home schooled. when you would miss out on all the memory’s and friends that you would make. and let not forget the school activity’s. like dances and other stuff. i tried that home schooled crap. but i didn’t like it. all my friends Wear in school.. i rather be in school then home schooled. trust me you’ll miss out on allot of good times. go to school. well that’s all i have to say. bye.
