How to get involved in property management?
Question : How to get involved in property management?
I really want to get involved in property management and eventually into renting my own offices/apartments, but I’m really not sure how to get started. I would like to be a property manager first – preferably in a residential setting- so where do I start? Who do I need to talk to? What certifications should I have? Anyone who can help!?

I think that if you want to get involved with property management and eventually renting your own offices/apartments then a real estate license is the way to go. This is a good path to take because it will teach you everything that you’d want to know about property. Real estate classes will teach you all about the different types of lease agreements. From the estate from period to period to subleasing and assignment leasing, it will also provide you with beneficial information that should be included in your leases. I could go on and on myself about how getting my real estate license has helped my business. After graduating from real estate class, a lot of people were interested in letting me manage there property simply because I had a real estate licensing and a big name backing me (Long and Foster, Coldwell Banker, Remax). So if you want to get into the industry that’s a good place to start.
