We are trying to hand raise a kitten that is around 2-3 weeks old. He fell out of a tree and with my mother being a vet we decided to hand raise him instead of the girls that found him trying to.
How long are little kittens at the stage were you have to rub their bottom to get them to go to the bathroom?
Oh Great. We don’t keep the kitten. We are only raising him for 2 girls that don’t know how and would probably kill him. So as soon as he is on solid food they are keeping him.

They begin going on their own about the time they begin to eat. At 4-5 weeks.
I had my kitten since he was 2 weeks old, I can’t remember when we had to stop doing that but my kitten just started to go by himself eventually. I’m not sure if there’s a specific age but maybe around a month? Good luck it’s very rewarding looking after them from that young!
