What time of the year are you going to take this trip. Napa is best during September when they are having their wine festival, otherwise they are an expensive tourist trap. The Napa Valley used to be something truly romantic, heart-felt and nostalgic but in the last few years it has started to become very commercial. The wine festival however has till maintained it’s old-country charm to it. Other things in the same area at this time of year include the Lodi Grape Festival, If you are willing to make the 3 hour drive you have the Reno Hot-Air Balloon Races and if you go up HWY 50 Apple Hill is an absolute must!
Chicago is a breathing city of many different cultures and sights but depending on what you are going there for, time of the year also plays a part in this area. I recommend Chicago in the Late Spring or Early Summer as it is way too cold for me in the Winter. There you will absolutely have to get yourself a foot-long hot dog and a beer at Wrigley Field. If you go to Chicago and pass up this opportunity, you will regret it forever.

Question : Car Troubles, Can anyone help?
I Have got a 1991 Nissan Maxima within the last 5 monthes and it ran very well for the first 2 monthes.
It Gets good gas mileage (About 22 Gpm) and came with almost all optional features including a Boise Sound system all for $ 600 Bucks!
Recently I have been having problems with the electrical systems of it and my friend although not certified, is a freaking genius when it comes to cars expecially since he has a Nissan Pulsar and works on it every day its warm out.
Recently My maxima needed a new altenator then a week later it needed a new battery (Battery and altenator costed a total of about $ 170) and now for some reason my battery seems to have rapidly drained and i always double check before turning off my car to see if everything is off, (Lights, CD-Player/Radio Player, AC/Heating, ect…) and my car just but when my friend checked it the battery was dead. And early that morning i was about to go to school and my car died just before i could reverse. After my friend looked at my car he charged the battery and cleaned a really rusty ignition wire. The problem still persisted. It doesnt die now but I was taking my friend home that night and i turned on the heat (Cuz it was freaking cold out) and i had the radio on, as soon as i hit a red light so i had to stop and all my cars power started to drain its power! everything was getting dimmer! and we just fully charged the battery! My friend checked the altenator connections and said they were all connected. so can anyone give me some help with what might be wrong? I bet even with my description theres still alot that may be wrong but, i hoped i narrowed it. im hoping its nothing expensive that needs to be replaced since, Im soo poor after 1. Getting a car ($ 600), 2. getting a laptop (Which i enjoy happily and was from a liquidation sale for $ 300! Its a steal!) 3. Getting a new altenator (About $ 79.99 after giving my old core) and 4. Getting a new cheap battery (Its a cheap 1 year battery, for about $ 70 brand new)
Well i Got my Altenator and battery at auto zone and they ckecked my old ones, finding out they failed the tests.
Good thing though i did get them like 1 month ago so, and i got 1 YEAR WARRANTYS!!!
So If anything is wrong i hope its one of things i got from auto zone because that just means free Parts!
i dont wish to sell my car since its my 1st! car and I finding a car i could afford was insane. I dont have to hire a mechanic (Thank god) because my friend is a true car nut, He doesnt shut up when certain cars pass him, He will be like Ooo, mr. turbocharged Malibu. (In the sarcastic voice and he does this often). I am also well aware he knows how to fix cars because he knows way more about cars than anyone else I know. (He even sounds like a mechanic from an auto repair shop). Im happy I know him since he is willing to fix my car’s problems way cheaper than anywhere. Nobody could match his prices.
It may be my battery since, my car died again today (Thankfully around 4 blocks from home). and i just brought back my battery put it on the charger and it says its almost dead! My charger has a tester on it and whenever a battery is low on ours, the needle stays at the 6 amp range and once its charged it goes to the 0 amp range. (My friend’s shows his in reverse). If its my battery, GOOD, because i got a year warranty on it from auto zone, and I have only had the battery for no more than 2 weeks! (Which is odd that it only lasted 2 weeks) Other than my battery what else could be wrong? If its the altenator my friend will be pissed, last time he had to remove splash plates and take it off the bottom of the engine (Which he liked since his was harder to get), then took him forever to put back on cause the screws refused to screw back in. (He did screw them in though and the altenator is still attached)

Question : Where can I go to learn to tune a piano?
It seems like every piano I encounter besides the ones at school, at home or on stage is disgustingly out of tune. I want to learn to tune pianos and volunteer my skill at places that have old, un-tuned, dis-repaired pianos.
I’ve heard it’s a skill you can learn in college, but I want to learn it now. What can I do to learn that?

For a few HUNDRED YEARS the time honored way to learn piano tuning has been to APPRENTICE to a master piano tuner and learn the techniques over SEVERAL YEARS… I don’t know of any Junior College that teaches it, but there may be one. and you DON’T LEARN IT “NOW” you learn it OVER TIME… and the MAIN THING IS.. you need to be able to PLAY the piano when you are done.

I spent 2 years working for a big music store, servicing large CHURCH ORGANS and THEATER ORGANS and quickly realized the FIRST thing I had to do, before starting on any repairs, was to PLAY the beast.. then do the repairs and then run the manuals.. EVERY KEY with EVERY STOP to make sure I had not missed something.. and FINALLY.. I would play a 15 to 30 minute CONCERT for my own amusement and, quite often, for the enjoyment of the church staff.

During that 2 years, I had many opportunities to work with the PIANO TUNER who worked for the store. He was an old German who had learned his trade as a APPRENTICE in Germany, and I was privileged to learn many of the tricks of the trade from him.. but, even with 2 YEARS of occasional training, I would no be ARROGANT enough to call myself a PIANO TUNER… even though I can, and do, tune pianos when I am appearing some place and they have a real piano I can use rather than a keyboard.

This question is for marines, or anyone with a real answer. Ok well my husband is in the marines. I am joining the marine reserves. My question is…… Does anyone know like how much money well earned a month? And also how would our life change? And your opinion if I should join the reserve or active duty? Thanks

The money depends on your individual ranks…and as far as changes, im sure traveling, and not getting to see each other awhole lot will be involved, im not sure but i bet theres way to get stationed together somewhere. best of luck
