Which is better, Maui or Kauai for an 8-day vacation in early July?
Question : Which is better, Maui or Kauai for an 8-day vacation in early July?
My husband and I are planning a vacation to Hawaii this June/July. Which island is better… Maui or Kauai? We plan to go for 8 days. Thanks!

Kauai. And they have the best breakfast there!

Depends on what you like more.
If you are into the night life, your best bet is Oahu.
Second best is Maui.
Kauai would be 1000th on your list.. lol There’s no night life!
However, if you want to experience the most amazing, gorgeous, unique, incredible, out of this world beauty, then Kauai without a doubt.
There is NOTHING in the world which comes even close to the beauty of Kaua’i. It’s the best place for a romantic getaway – miles of serene deserted beaches, over 500 major and thousands of minor waterfalls (lets not forget Jurassic Park was filmed there), the most amazing mountains, you name it, it’s all there!
When you go there, make sure you take the boat ride to the Napali Coast, and even better if you both are in top shape, hike to the Napali Coast. It’s the most strenuous 7 hour hike, but it’s so worth it.
Anyway, no words i can say or pictures you can see can give Kaua’i justice.
You’re lucky to visit and I’m lucky to have spent a year on this magical place.
