PODS are an option but the cost is higher than other smaller companies. I’m not sure what those companies might be in your area.
They aren’t cheap. However, I got a price to move my stuff to NC from Florida, chances are they included transportation fee, it did not include the cost of storing the items until I could move in to my townhouse, their monthly rental was about $ 232/month.
It was cheaper for me to hire a moving company and then rent a storage unit for $ 140/month (mine was indoors airconditioned) they go for much cheaper.
If you can get someone to help you move that has a pick up truck, rent a storage unit for a few months, it would be cheaper.
Better check on your homeowners docs to make sure that they allow you to keep a POD in your driveway even for a short time. Some can be really picky about it.
