I have a great discount to offer and all we ask in return is for you to take a 120 tour of our resort while your there ,,,, the value and benefits of the trip are well worth the 2 hours of your time that we ask for ….

Probably the best thing is to open by mentioning what you’re trying to sell. Don’t go into a long spiel, if you use the “turn and burn” method and just be upfront with people, the definite “no’s” will be obvious right away and you can move on to the next possibility. Besides people are used to trying not getting screwed, so they automatically know something is up if you tell them they “won” a cruise or something.

I wouldn’t. Really telemarketing is a scummy profession that targets people who don’t know better. Calling old people day after day so they feel that the caller is their friend before going in for the kill is a bad way of doing business. Don’t call my cell phone either.
