Will State Farm liability insurance pay for my rental car since the accident wasn’t my fault?
Question : Will State Farm liability insurance pay for my rental car since the accident wasn’t my fault?
I got into a car accident the other day and he completely demolished my car, I’m lucky I can still drive it. Whenever my car goes to the shop, does his insurance company or him have to pay for my rental car? I won’t be able to drive my car for weeks and I’ll need a rental car, it’s his fault completely and I’m pretty sure he has full coverage but if he only has liability, does he have to pay for my rental car?
rental liability insurance

your company won’t cover anything that belongs to you because liability insurance only covers other people and their property. if it was the other driver’s fault, their insurance takes care of your person and property
Call an Enterprise and a local Hertz office and tell them you want to get into a rental car, but want the direct billing approved and get can’t in the car until the direct bill is approved. They should work to get this done since generally these type of rentals are authorized a higher daily rate. It may take them two or three days to do this. If you can’t bum a ride for a couple days, then rent yourself a car at another company until the direct billing is approved at a rate you can afford. If the direct billing is approved, you should still be able to submit the bill to the responsible party’s insurance company for reimbursement.
