Question : Will I make it living in Brooklyn, NY?
Here are my expected monthly expenditures, making $ 48000 a year, after taxes:
rent-$ 1700
metrocard-$ 90
food-$ 600
toiletries-$ 50
bills(gas bill, cable tv, cell phone, high-speed intenet)-$ 300
miscellaneous (for things like going to the movies or getting my nails done)-$ 200
renter’s insurance-$ 40
helath/dental insurance-$ 150

soooo.. am I being realistic or not? I am single, don’t have any kids, and will not have a car.
My calculations lead me to believe that I will be able to save over $ 10,000 a year.
