Replacing windows on a 1928 home, What to pick?
Question : Replacing windows on a 1928 home, What to pick?
my house has the original windows, they look ok but after many years of abuse we have had to cut the cords on a bunch of them since they got stuck. We have decided to start switching them a few at a time. This is not our dream house we want good windows but not the best and we want to keep the colonial style. Any ideas at some good windows that keep the cold out in the winter ?

Hi
Might as well go with the white vinyl double-pane.

With the cap and trade act a distinct possibility you will want to get double glazed windows so you will not have to get them replaced in the future.
Vinyl windows are ideal for what you are looking for.
