Question : Decent paying jobs in San Antonio, Texas?
Okay. Here’s the deal. My bf didn’t plan too well when we moved from FL to TX and now we have figured out that with the bills we *already are locked in to* and to live outside of family’s home, we need to make $ 23/hour between the two of us.

He is a chef; two year degree in culinary arts and everything, but has been out of the cooking industry for about 6 years. He’s cooked on the side and worked in clerical-type jobs around $ 12/hour back home. He’s 36, hispanic, if that matters for the San Antonio area…

Me, I’m 25 and have no degree yet; I’ve worked in tons of fast food, and in the past three to four years worked as a collector for debt, and then in call centers for Verizon DSL and Progressive Auto Insurance. Last wage was $ 13.10/hour

So…can anyone tell me the names/places of some companies that might have a pay that we’re used to back home? Or any way to make extra money here? I’m willing to do anything that’s legal and that I can make the most amount of money!!

Hospitals would be a good start. He could definitely fit in due to bilingual and could cross train between food/clerical and you would be able to apply to their business office regarding debt collection/billing. Hospitals can pay overtime, shift differential, on call pay, pager pay, etc. Typically if you get a position you could transfer to another department in approximately 3-6 months from your hire date, which means once you get in the door network with other employees and find out where the money is without having specific degrees/experience. Good Luck!
