Question : what type of insurance you need to have to start the home daycare?
I want to start a home daycare in chicago and i don’t know what i need to have or do.

If you have home owners insurance already you should be able to add a home business rider to your policy for the daycare.

Make sure that you are in compliance with all of your municipal and state laws and licensing for home day care.

Here in Ontario a home daycare with 5-6 children would be insurable as a home based business rider for about $ 250/year. I doubt it would be much different where you are.
