Question : I am applying for 2 different jobs at the corporate offices of my current employer- should I change my resume?
I work for redbox automated dvd rental, and i am moving to chicago where their corporate and call center is located. i am applying for two jobs internally, one for customer service team lead and one for employee care generalist- my “knowledge, skills and abilities” section is basically applicable to each job- should i change my resume for the different jobs, or is this unnecessary? they know who i am anyway
i am not sure though!

You may want to expand on specific experiences / skills description which would demonstrate what makes you the best candidate for that position.
Remeber, it is all about being concise and up to the point and no room for vagueness.

As you said, they know who you are already. The HR department will look into your file to see your employment history and if you can get a letter of recommendation from your department manager, that would help a great deal. It always helps to have internal support. If your own supervisor, (who by the way is risking losing a trained and experienced employee) is willing to help you expand your horizons and possibly benefit the rest of the company in different ways, then I cant see how any HR department wouldn’t give you a new and better position. Good luck!

I think it is a good idea to submit two different resumes. I would assume that two different managers will be reviewing the resumes, and they will be looking for different criteria. You can still use the same experiences but provide details that will be most applicable to the certain position.
I would suggest using direct verbiage from the job postings and use a list of descriptive words that make your experiences seem related to the position. Here is a great website for resume help and descriptive words: http://www.theresumesource.com.
Good luck!
