There really are no cheap ones. U-Haul would be your best bet, but even they will be about $ 500-1000 once you factor in mileage and gas.
I just moved across the country myself and I sold all my furniture, shipped a few boxes of clothes FedEx and put my tv & comp in my car and drove my car. If you don’t want to spend so much on a moving truck or don’t have the funds available, you’ll have to downsize, sell off your stuff like I did. Take that $ 1000 you would have spent on the truck to buy new things. But I had cheapy furniture, obviously if you have $ 10,000 worth of nice furniture it will be worth it to keep.
Since you didn’t put the city from and to I can’t pull up the rates for you however, I would try Budget, Penske, and U-haul. Depending on how many miles your trip is and what size truck you rent your fuel mileage would be around 7-10 miles per gallon.
