When I moved overseas I found it easier and less expensive to just sell everything and buy new stuff when I got there.
Are you moving to Australia? There is a good chance your car will not meet Australian safety or emission requirements. So it will not be able to be driven here anyway.
Unless you have serious sentimental attachment to particular items…just get rid of them….and buy new ones.
Depending on what exactly you want to bring will depend if it is worth it or now. It will also depend on where you are moving from.
Obviously in the US they drive on the right side of the road and their cars are left hand drive, which CAN be driven in Australia but is a lot of hassle. If moving from the UK then your car should be fine but depening on its value and age it may not be worth it.
Electrical appliances I would sell, the voltage is different and running everything off a transformer is a pain, easier and cheaper to sell it and buy new, there are always sales on these things.
Furniture like your lounge suites and bedding, etc.. I would look at it’s value and age, perhaps its time for an upgrade. There are lots of payment plan options here and sales all the time.
In terms of moving stuff, you need to look for a shipping company and use an container, try and limit it to one if you can.
