What is the cheapest way to move my belongings from New Jersey to San Francisco?
Question : What is the cheapest way to move my belongings from New Jersey to San Francisco?
I have boxes of personal stuff (books, dishes, clothes, CDs, etc.) and may or may not send furniture depending on whether it works out cheaper to send vs. just buy new. If I do send any furniture, it probably won’t be my whole apartment but rather just a few select items. I will be driving cross-country but will be doing much sightseeing so the trip will take about a month, therefore, if I get a U-haul the cost may be a lot for that length of time. My other options are to ship things FedEx Ground or have a mover do it. Any suggestions/advice? Thanks!

Have you looked into PODS? I’ve heard they are affordable and you can choose to keep the container for a month or more.
