Question : What is the cheapest moving company from CA to WA?
My boyfriend and I are moving to Vancouver WA mid June and we are looking for a reliable but inexpensive company to use. We looked up Uhaul quotes and it’s going to be around $ 1000! Any cheaper options? Help! We are running out of time!

Do a garage sale, and sale everything. Then start fresh in WA.

Unfortunately, that could be right. Last year we moved to Washington from Illinois through Uhaul and the bill was upwards of $ 5000. Also, you’re moving during peak season so rates are bound to be the highest of any time of year.
There are some things for you to consider, though. I don’t know where you’re moving from, but I looked on Uhaul.com and a truck for a 1-2 bedroom house from Sacramento to Vancouver would be under $ 300. I don’t know what equipment you requested, or exactly how far away you are…but you may not need as much stuff as you think. We used the big 26′ truck and a tow-behind trailer because we are a family of 6 people with 4 animals, bikes, yard toys, etc. You may not need all of that for you and your boyfriend. If you think you do, you may wish to do what the other commentor posted and downsize a bit before your move.
