PLEASE HELP!! Accidental damage protection?
Question : PLEASE HELP!! Accidental damage protection?
so my sony laptop i bought 22 months ago..has a accidental damage protection warranty that i purchased for 2 years…i’ve been having all kinds of problems since day one…i’ve had techs from sony (onsite service) come to my home and fix it..but theres an unresolved issue they want me to mail the laptop to the depot for repair..which takes 11 days…problem is i’m leaving the country this saturday and cant mail it..and they wont come and try to fix it either….they wont replace my product even though it had so many issues….should i purposely damage the item and say i dropped it? how does this work? is this a sensible thing to do? and how can i ‘accidentally’ damage this thing and make sure its beyond repair..yet look like an accident..
this sounds kind of crooked..but seriously..sony is treating my pretty badly..i paid for onsite service..and they’re not working with me..i’ve had about 5 visits from on site techs and they wont reimburse me for such a crappy product…
what should i do?
thanks

I don’t really want to advocate scamming sony (which is exactly what you are planning to do), but they will probably look into how exactly it was damaged because your two years is almost up, so tread carefully!
I wouldn’t do ir, better to call the BBB
