Question : My husband just got a job in Stone Mountain, Ga. what area do you recommend for relocation?
We live in the Philadelphia suburbs and we are moving to Georgia because my husband just got a job in Stone Mountain, Ga. We have 2 children and we are now searching for an area that is within a 25 mile radius that has low crime, nice neighborhoods and good schools. What areas do you recommend?

Since you are used to suburbs look towards the area surrounding Snellville in Gwinnett County. Hwy. 78 is a good road going directly from there to the Stone Mountain area. Gwinnett schools are usually good. Shopping is convenient.Atlanta metro traffic is bad all over but depending on work hours this is ot a terrible commute. Lilburn and Dacula would be other possibilities;

Or instead of living in Atlanta – think about moving outside the perimeter to Henry Co. It’s only appx 15-20 mins from St. Mountain. It’s located near highway 675 and interstate 75 both very convenient to get to St. Mountain.
You could also consider Ellenwood – in the Dekalb county district. It has very nice houses, parks, etc and very close to St. Mountain.
