Scott Gerber, serial entrepreneur, an international consortium of small business columnist and author of the forthcoming book never a â? ? Reala? Employment, today announced the launch of the first Youth Business Council (YEC );???? A category arising from many of the world’s most successful young entrepreneurs, businessmen and opinion leaders. The mission of the ECJ is to help young people build successful businesses and to overcome the devastating epidemics of youth underemployment and unemployment.

“Youth unemployment and underemployment Gen Y epidemics,” said Scott Gerber, the founder of the ECJ. “More than ever we need to teach young people to create their own sources of income and become independent small business. Who better to do than their peers entrepreneurial success.”

According to the International Labour Organization, more than 81 million unemployed youth in the world. Almost 40% of young people in the United States were unemployed or underemployed in 2008 (Pew Research Center).
